Cell Operator

Position Summary:

Primarily responsible for the safe operation of sewing machines to produce a high-quality product using cutting, sewing, grommet, and labeling equipment while ensuring that productivity goals are met.

Responsibilities:

Operate sewing and grommet machine to perform a variety of tasks including short joining, long joining, fly hemming, banding, and grommeting.
Read and interpret sewing information from the work order.
Maintain accurate production records.
Keep work area clean and free from debris, trash and clutter.
Work in a safe manner, following all safety procedures and requirements.
Provide timely feedback on issues that affect safety, quality or productivity.
Must be a team player
Read and follow schedule.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ability to report to worksite at scheduled times.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand in a cell with three other team members and to walk around machines to tend to them as needed.
Requires full manual dexterity to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; talk and hear.
Fast paced, constantly changing work environment
The employee must be able to stand for 8+ hours daily.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on occasion.
