Automatic Operator
Position Summary:
Primarily responsible for the safe operation of sewing machines to produce a high-quality product while ensuring that productivity goals are met. The Automatic Operator operates sewing machines to join stripes in the manufacture of U.S. flags.
Responsibilities:
Operate sewing machine to sew together stripes for the United States flag.
Follow the process of making the stripe from start to finish, which requires lifting and flipping of material. Inspecting all work that is processed in this department.
Ability to interpret work orders and produce work accordingly.
Maintain accurate production records by recording information on paper documents and also scanning correctly into work orders for labor scanning.
MUST have the ability to work overtime with little notice.
Keep work area clean and free from debris, trash and clutter.
Work in a safe manner, following all safety procedures and requirements.
Work cooperatively with members of other departments to solve quality and /or productivity and ensure a quality product is delivered on time.
Provide timely feedback on issues that affect safety, quality or productivity.
Must be a team player.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong team player with high performance objectives.

Ability to report to worksite at scheduled times.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Requires full manual dexterity to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; talk and hear.
Fast paced, constantly changing work environment
The employee must be able to stand for 8+ hours daily.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on occasion.

Monday-Friday (6:15am-2:45pm)
